Abstract
Devices and methods for detecting a disinfecting state are described. An example of a sensor device is disclosed to include: a housing; a radiation sensitive material disposed on one or more portions of an external surface of the housing; a sensor configured to measure intensity information associated with ultraviolet (UV) radiation of a first frequency band; a controller configured to record the intensity information, temporal information associated with measuring the intensity information, or both; and a transceiver device configured to transmit and receive radio frequency (RF) signals.
Claims20
A sensor tag comprising:
- an Analog Front End (AFE) that receives sensor data from a sensor, wherein the sensor data provides information regarding a light radiation intensity incident at the sensor;
- memory that stores the sensor data along with temporal information associated with the sensor data;
- and
- a processor that causes the temporal information and the sensor data to be transmitted to a remote device to confirm a sterilization of an area in proximity to the sensor tag.
A method of confirming a disinfecting status associated with an area, the method comprising:
- receiving temporal information;
- measuring intensity information associated with light radiation of a first frequency band;
- and
- storing, in memory, the intensity information and the temporal information;
- and
- transmitting the intensity information and the temporal information to a remote device via at least one of a wired and wireless communication link.
