Abstract
An insulating element for thermal isolation includes a vacuum cell having a wall with a corrugation.
Claims15
Insulating element for thermal insulation, comprising a vacuum cell, wherein the vacuum cell has a wall which has a corrugation.
Method for producing an insulating element, comprising:
- melting material,
- pressing the molten material through an opening into an evacuated chamber as a hollow strand,
- constricting the hollow strand, such that a vacuum cell is formed,
- stretching the strand, such that the wall thickness of the vacuum cell is reduced, and
- corrugating the wall of the vacuum cell.
