A spectrometer comprising:
- a detector and a crystal analyzer;
- wherein the crystal analyzer is operably attached to a first arm;
- the detector is operably attached to a second arm;
- the first arm and the second arm are linked;
- and the detector and crystal analyzer move rotationally around a first axis and independently of each other.
