Abstract
The present invention provides a novel use of a compound having a plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) inhibitory effect. Specifically, a compound having a PAI-1 inhibitory effect is used as an intranostimulator, an immune checkpoint inhibitor, an inhibitor for exacerbation of tumor cells caused by PD-L1, or an enhancer of immunotherapy for tumors, based on the inhibitory effect of the compound on expression induction of immune checkpoint molecules.
Claims15
A programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression inhibitor comprising a compound having an inhibitory effect on plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 as an active ingredient.
Use of a compound having a plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 inhibitory effect for producing a PD-L1 expression inhibitor, an immunostimulator, an immune checkpoint inhibitor, an inhibitor for exacerbation of tumor cells caused by PD-L1, or an enhancer of immunotherapy for tumors.
A compound having a plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 inhibitory effect, for use in at least one selected from the group consisting of the following (a) to (e):
- (a) inhibiting PD-L1 expression in at least one cell selected from the group consisting of a tumor cell and an immunosuppressive cell;
- (b) inhibiting an immune escape mechanism using PD-L1/PD-1 as an immune checkpoint;
- (c) stimulating immunity, particularly stimulating immune depression caused by PD-L1;
- (d) inhibiting exacerbation of tumor cells caused by PD-L1;
- and
- (e) enhancing an immunotherapeutic effect on tumors.
A method for inhibiting PD-L1 expression in at least one cell selected from the group consisting of a tumor cell and an immunosuppressive cell in a patient, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a compound having a plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 inhibitory effect to the patient.
