A vaccine composition comprising a peptide-based antigen and a pharmaceutically compatible antioxidant.
An ex vivo method for eliciting suppressive antigen-specific T lymphocytes being CD4, CD8 and/or NKT comprising:
- putting ex vivo T lymphocyte in contact to a specific antigen, under reducing conditions, and
- selecting the treated lymphocytes with higher surface expression of a molecule selected from the group consisting of TIGIT, DLL4 and CTLA2, and/or with higher secretion of a molecule selected from the group consisting of IL-13, IL-10, prostaglandin E2, TGF-beta, amphiregulin, MMP9 and ADAM33.
