Abstract
Device containers, such as therapeutic kit containers, are disclosed. In one embodiment, a device container comprises a first member configured to releasably hold a syringe barrel, a second member configured to releasably hold a vial, wherein the second member is coupled to the first member by a first hinge, and a third member configured to releasably hold a vial adapter, wherein the third member is coupled to the second member by a second hinge.
Claims19
A method of preparing a syringe assembly for administration of a therapeutic liquid, comprising:
- manually manipulating a therapeutic kit container comprised of a first member, a second member, and a third member from a closed configuration to an open configuration;
- disposing at least a major surface of the second member into contact with a preparation surface;
- removing a vial adapter from the third member;
- coupling the vial adapter to a vial retained on the second member;
- removing a syringe barrel and a syringe plunger rod from the first member;
- forming a syringe assembly by coupling the syringe plunger rod to the syringe barrel;
- connecting the syringe assembly to the vial adapter;
- extracting the therapeutic liquid from the vial into the syringe assembly via the vial adapter;
- and
- decoupling the syringe assembly containing the therapeutic liquid from the vial adapter
