## Abstract

Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for custom interface specification in a cloud management system are disclosed. An example cloud management system includes: a first interface to communicate with a second interface external to the cloud management system; and a host to manage requests from the second interface and allocate resources to the second interface as a reverse proxy for the second interface with respect to a backend. The example host is to at least: add, at the request of the second interface, an endpoint with respect to the second interface; fetch, at the request of the second interface, data for the endpoint from the backend, the backend identified for the endpoint based on metadata in a component registry; and provide the data from the backend to the second interface.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An apparatus comprising:
memory circuitry;
instructions; and
processor circuitry to execute the instructions to at least:
when an identifier is provided, search, via an interface in response to a first query including the identifier, for a component adapter configuration based on the identifier;
when the identifier is not provided, search, via the interface in response to a second query including a criterion, for the component adapter configuration based on the criterion; and
provide, via the interface, the component adapter configuration to a device.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the criterion includes an endpoint type.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the component adapter configuration is provided via the interface from a component registry.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the component adapter configuration is selected from the component registry based on metadata.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the metadata defines how an associated endpoint is to be accessed.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the processor circuitry is to register an adapter to an endpoint with the component adapter configuration.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the processor circuitry is to enable, via the adapter, provisioning of a resource to the device.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the processor circuitry is to provision the resource by instantiating at least one of a virtual machine or a container to execute the resource.

### Claim 9 (depends on 6)

The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the processor circuitry is to deactivate the adapter by removing the registration.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the processor circuitry is to define a protocol and an associated application programming interface associated with the interface.

### Claim 11

At least one computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause a machine to at least:
when an identifier is provided, search, via an interface in response to a first query including the identifier, for a component adapter configuration based on the identifier;
when the identifier is not provided, search, via the interface in response to a second query including a criterion, for the component adapter configuration based on the criterion; and
provide, via the interface, the component adapter configuration to a device.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 11, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the machine to provide the component adapter configuration via the interface from a component registry.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 12, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the machine to select the component adapter configuration from the component registry based on metadata.

### Claim 14 (depends on 11)

The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 11, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the machine to register an adapter to an endpoint with the component adapter configuration.

### Claim 15 (depends on 14)

The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 14, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the machine to enable, via the adapter, provisioning of a resource to the device.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the machine to provision the resource by instantiating at least one of a virtual machine or a container to execute the resource.

### Claim 17 (depends on 15)

The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the machine to deactivate the adapter by removing the registration.

### Claim 18

A method comprising:
when an identifier is provided, search, via an interface in response to a first query including the identifier, for a component adapter configuration based on the identifier;
when the identifier is not provided, search, via the interface in response to a second query including a criterion, for the component adapter configuration based on the criterion; and
provide, via the interface by executing an instruction using at least one processor, the component adapter configuration to a device.

### Claim 19 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, further including providing the component adapter configuration via the interface from a component registry.

### Claim 20 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, further including registering an adapter to an endpoint with the component adapter configuration.
