Abstract
A photosensor includes a vacuum tube having an inner space in which a photoelectron moves, a photocathode unit positioned at an upper portion of the vacuum tube to convert incident light incident from an outside into a photoelectron, a scintillator unit to react with the photoelectron to generate scintillation light, and a photomultiplier to convert the scintillation light into a photoelectron, and multiply the converted photoelectron to generate an electrical signal.
Claims15
A photosensor comprising:
- a vacuum tube having an inner space therein;
- a photocathode unit on an inner surface of the vacuum tube to convert incident light from an outside into a first photoelectron;
- a scintillator unit on the inner surface of the vacuum tube to react with the first photoelectron to generate scintillation light;
- and
- a photomultiplier on the inner surface of the vacuum tube to convert the scintillation light into a second photoelectron, and to multiply the converted second photoelectron to generate an electrical signal,
- wherein the photocathode unit, the scintillator unit, and the photomultiplier are sequentially disposed on a traveling path of the incident light.

A photosensor comprising:
- a vacuum tube;
- a photocathode unit and a photomultiplier on an inner surface of the vacuum tube to be opposite to each other;
- and
- a scintillator unit on the inner surface of the vacuum tube, between the photocathode unit and the photomultiplier, to be opposite to the photocathode unit.
