Abstract
A breakaway adhesive coating system includes a substrate having a first substrate surface and a second substrate surface. A release coating is disposed over at least a portion of and bonded to the second substrate surface. A breakaway coating is disposed over a release coating surface opposite to the second substrate surface, the breakaway coating bonded to the release coating. An adhesive layer is disposed over a breakaway coating surface opposite to the release coating, the adhesive layer bonded to the breakaway coating.
Claims18
A breakaway adhesive coating system comprising:
- a substrate having a first substrate surface and a second substrate surface;
- a release coating disposed over at least a portion of and bonded to said second substrate surface;
- a breakaway coating disposed over a release coating surface opposite to said second substrate surface, said breakaway coating bonded to said release coating;
- and
- an adhesive layer disposed over a breakaway coating surface opposite to said release coating, said adhesive layer bonded to said breakaway coating.
