Abstract
An exhaust gas diffusing device includes an outside air mixing cylinder with an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of a discharge-side end portion of an exhaust pipe to send out exhaust gas of an engine of a vehicle, the outside air mixing cylinder positioned to receive the exhaust gas from the exhaust pipe and to receive outside air to be mixed with the exhaust gas, and at least one air director at a position on the outside air mixing cylinder upstream in a direction in which the exhaust gas flows or in the exhaust pipe to promote the mixing.
Claims7
An exhaust gas diffusing device, comprising:
- an outside air mixing cylinder with an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of a discharge-side end portion of an exhaust pipe to send out exhaust gas of an engine of a vehicle, the outside air mixing cylinder positioned to receive the exhaust gas from the exhaust pipe and to receive outside air to be mixed with the exhaust gas;
- and
- at least one air director disposed (i) at a position on the outside air mixing cylinder upstream in a direction in which the exhaust gas flows, or (ii) in the exhaust pipe, to promote the mixing of the exhaust gas with the outside air.
