Abstract
Systems and methods are described for managing presentation of content. An action may be scheduled to occur at a first time within the presentation of the media asset, where the action may interrupt the presentation of the media asset. When a current presentation position is approaching the first time, an option to delay the action may be generated for presentation. In response to receiving selection of the option to delay the action, the action may be scheduled to occur at a later second time within the presentation of the media asset.

A method comprising:
- generating for presentation a media asset, wherein:
- an action is scheduled to occur at a first time within the presentation of the media asset;
- the action interrupts the presentation of the media asset;
- and
- the action comprises a duration;
- generating for presentation, when a current presentation position is approaching the first time, an option to delay the action;
- and
- in response to receiving selection of the option to delay the action:
- scheduling the action to occur at a later second time within the presentation of the media asset;
- and
- increasing the duration of the action scheduled to occur at the second time.

A system comprising:
- input/output (I/O) circuitry;
- control circuitry configured to:
- generate for presentation a media asset, wherein:
- an action is scheduled to occur at a first time within the presentation of the media asset;
- the action interrupts the presentation of the media asset;
- and
- the action comprises a duration;
- generate for presentation, when a current presentation position is approaching the first time, an option to delay the action;
- and
- in response to receiving, at the I/O circuitry, selection of the option to delay the action:
- schedule the action to occur at a later second time within the presentation of the media asset;
- and
- increase the duration of the action scheduled to occur at the second time.
