Abstract
An image decoding method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: deriving most probable mode (MPM) candidates on the basis of an intra-prediction mode of candidate blocks; determining whether the MPM candidate having the intra-prediction mode, which is the same as that of a current block, exists among MPM candidates; and deriving the intra-prediction mode of the current block on the basis of the determination, wherein the candidate block includes a neighboring block which is adjacent to the current block, and a non-neighboring block which is not adjacent to the current block.

A method of decoding an image, comprising:
- receiving a bitstream including the image;
- determining an intra prediction mode of a current block in the image;
- and
- performing, based on the intra prediction mode, intra prediction on the current block using one or more reference sample lines for the intra prediction of the current block,
- wherein a number of the one or more reference sample lines available for the intra prediction of the current block is adaptively determined based on a position of the current block in a coding tree unit (CTU).
A method of encoding an image, comprising:
- performing intra prediction on a current block in the image by using one or more reference sample lines for the intra prediction of the current block;
- obtaining a residual block of the current block based on a prediction block resulting from performing the intra prediction on the current block;
- and
- generating a bitstream by encoding the residual block,
- wherein a number of the one or more reference sample lines available for the intra prediction of the current block is adaptively determined based on a position of the current block in a coding tree unit (CTU).
A non-transitory computer-readable medium for storing data associated with a video signal, comprising:
- a data stream stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium, the data stream comprising encoding information generated by encoding a residual block of a current block,
- wherein the residual block is a difference between an original block of the current block and a prediction block of the current block,
- wherein the prediction block results from performing intra prediction on the current block by using one or more reference sample lines for the intra prediction of the current block, and
- wherein a number of the one or more reference sample lines available for the intra prediction of the current block is adaptively determined based on a position of the current block in a coding tree unit (CTU).
