Building management system with control framework

A system for automatically commissioning and operating physical heating, ventilation, or air conditioning (HVAC) equipment at a building site, the system comprising one or more processing circuits configured to:

• construct a model using the physical HVAC equipment and relationships between the physical HVAC equipment, the model indicating connections between the physical HVAC equipment at the building site and one or more resources produced or consumed by the physical HVAC equipment;
• generate a mapping between points of the physical HVAC equipment at the building site and corresponding variables of the model;
• use the model to generate values of one or more control variables of the model;
• and
• operate the physical HVAC equipment by providing the values of the control variables to corresponding points of the physical HVAC equipment based on the mapping.

A method for updating a model for serving energy loads of a building or campus, the method comprising:

• obtaining an asset allocator model indicating connections between physical equipment of the building or campus and one or more resources produced or consumed by the physical equipment;
• and
• providing a user interface comprising a plurality of selectable items representing components of the asset allocator model, the user interface configured to:
• generate a new component of the asset allocator model;
• and
• insert the new component into the asset allocator model such that the new component is used in combination with other components of the model when the model is used to simulate an operation of the physical equipment.
