Dynamic analog-to-digital converter capability

A method for wireless communication at a first wireless device, comprising:

• performing a connection establishment procedure with a second wireless device;
• receiving, from the second wireless device and based at least in part on the connection establishment procedure, a capability message that includes an indication of a set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes supported by the second wireless device, the set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes comprising two or more bit quantities that are dynamically configurable by the second wireless device;
• and
• communicating with the second wireless device based at least in part on the set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes supported by the second wireless device.

An apparatus, comprising:

• a processor;
• memory coupled with the processor;
• and
• instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
• perform a connection establishment procedure with a second wireless device;
• identify, based at least in part on performing the connection establishment procedure, a set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes supported by a first wireless device, the set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes comprising two or more bit quantities that are dynamically configurable by the first wireless device;
• and
• transmit, to the second wireless device, a capability message that includes an indication of the set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes supported by the first wireless device.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a first wireless device, comprising:

• a processor;
• memory coupled with the processor;
• and
• instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
• perform a connection establishment procedure with a second wireless device;
• receive, from the second wireless device and based at least in part on the connection establishment procedure, a capability message that includes an indication of a set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes supported by the second wireless device, the set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes comprising two or more bit quantities that are dynamically configurable by the second wireless device;
• and
• communicate with the second wireless device based at least in part on the set of analog-to-digital converter resolution sizes supported by the second wireless device.
