Device and method enabling out-band communication in wireless charging device, method and system

A wireless power receiver comprising:

• a power pick-up unit configured to receive a wireless power from the wireless power transmitter by magnetic coupling with the wireless power transmitter on an operating frequency, and convert an AC signal generated by the wireless power into a DC signal;
• and
• a communication/control unit communicating with the wireless power transmitter using an in-band communication using the operating frequency and an out-band communication using a frequency other than the operating frequency,
• wherein, when a communication connection history with the wireless power transmitter is present, the communication/control unit exchanges a data packet for a wireless power transmission with the wireless power transmitter through the out-band communication.

A wireless power transmitter comprising:

• a power conversion unit configured to transmit a wireless power to the wireless power receiver by a magnetic coupling with the wireless power receiver on an operating frequency;
• and
• a communication/control unit communicating with the wireless power receiver using at least one of an in-band communication using the operating frequency and an out-band communication using a frequency other than the operating frequency,
• wherein the communication/control unit:
• receives address information of the wireless power receiver through the out-band communication from the wireless power receiver,
• checks whether there is a communication connection history with the wireless power receiver based on the received address information,
• when there is the communication connection history with the wireless power receiver exchanges a data packet for a wireless power transmission by establishing the out-band communication connection with the wireless power receiver.

A wireless power receiver comprising:

• a power pick-up unit configured to receive a wireless power from the wireless power transmitter by magnetic coupling with the wireless power transmitter on an operating frequency, and convert an AC signal generated by the wireless power into a DC signal;
• and
• a communication/control unit communicating with the wireless power transmitter using an in-band communication using the operating frequency and an out-band communication using a frequency other than the operating frequency,
• wherein the communication/control unit:
• transmits address information to the wireless power transmitter through the out-band communication,
• exchanges a data packet for a wireless power transmission by establishing the out-band communication connection with the wireless power transmitter when it is confirmed from the wireless power transmitter that there is a communication connection history with the wireless power transmitter.

A wireless power transmitter comprising:

• a power conversion unit configured to transmit a wireless power to the wireless power receiver by a magnetic coupling with the wireless power receiver on an operating frequency;
• and
• a communication/control unit communicating with the wireless power receiver using at least one of an in-band communication using the operating frequency and an out-band communication using a frequency other than the operating frequency,
• wherein the communication/control unit:
• transmits address information to the wireless power receiver through the out-band communication,
• exchanges a data packet for a wireless power transmission by establishing the out-band communication connection with the wireless power receiver when it is confirmed from the wireless power receiver that there is a communication connection history with the wireless power receiver.

A wireless power receiver comprising:

• a power pick-up unit configured to receive a wireless power from the wireless power transmitter by magnetic coupling with the wireless power transmitter on an operating frequency, and convert an AC signal generated by the wireless power into a DC signal;
• and
• a communication/control unit communicating with the wireless power transmitter using an in-band communication using the operating frequency and an out-band communication using a frequency other than the operating frequency,
• wherein the communication/control unit:
• receives address information of the wireless power transmitter through the out-band communication from the wireless power transmitter,
• checks whether there is a communication connection history with the wireless power transmitter based on the received address information,
• when there is the communication connection history with the wireless power transmitter exchanges a data packet for a wireless power transmission by establishing the out-band communication connection with the wireless power transmitter.
