A display device comprising:
- a display area having a plurality of sub-pixels;
- a plurality of pad electrodes in a peripheral area outside the display area;
- a first organic insulating layer comprising an opening overlapping the plurality of pad electrodes;
- and
- an integrated circuit overlapping the plurality of pad electrodes and electrically connected to the plurality of pad electrodes,
- wherein a distance between an edge of the first organic insulating layer defining the opening and an edge of the integrated circuit is about 40 micrometers (μm) or more.
A display device comprising:
- a display area having a plurality of sub-pixels;
- a plurality of signal lines in the display area;
- a plurality of pad electrodes in a peripheral area outside the display area and electrically connected to the plurality of signal lines;
- a first organic insulating layer comprising an opening overlapping the plurality of pad electrodes;
- a second organic insulating layer on the first organic insulating layer;
- and
- an integrated circuit overlapping the plurality of pad electrodes and electrically connected to the plurality of pad electrodes,
- wherein an edge of the first organic insulating layer defining the opening is outside the integrated circuit to be spaced apart from an edge of the integrated circuit.
