Abstract
One embodiment of the present invention includes single-crystal particles of a TbCu7 type samarium-iron-nitrogen based alloy in an anisotropic magnet powder.
Claims18
An anisotropic magnet powder, comprising:
- single-crystal particles of a TbCu7 type samarium-iron-nitrogen based alloy.
An anisotropic magnet, comprising:
- a TbCu7 type samarium-iron-nitrogen based alloy.
A method for manufacturing an anisotropic magnet powder, comprising steps of:
- producing a samarium-iron based alloy powder by heat treating a composition containing samarium, iron and an alkali metal halide and/or an alkaline earth metal halide at a temperature of a melting point of the alkali metal halide and/or the alkaline earth metal halide or higher;
- and
- producing a samarium-iron-nitrogen based alloy powder by nitriding the samarium-iron based alloy powder,
- wherein the temperature for the heat treating is 500 degrees C. or higher and 800 degrees C. or less.
