Abstract
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed herein for automated identification and alerting of neurodegenerative diseases (NDD). Patient information comprising medical history information is accessed. Using the patient information, one or more risk factors and/or symptoms for a NDD are identified. Using the identified risk factors and/or symptoms, a patient with probable risk for developing the NDD is determined. A notification of the probable risk that the patient develops the NDD is provided.
Claims20
A method for automated identification and alerting of neurodegenerative diseases (NDD), the method comprising:
- accessing patient information comprising medical history information;
- identifying, using the patient information, one or more risk factors for a NDD and/or one or more symptoms of the NDD;
- determining, using the identified risk factors and/or symptoms, that a patient associated with the patient information has a probable risk for developing the NDD;
- and
- providing a notification of the probable risk that the patient develops the NDD.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions embodied thereon, the instructions being executable by one or more processors to perform a method for automated identification and alerting of neurodegenerative disorders (NDD), the method comprising:
- accessing patient information comprising medical history information;
- determining one or more risk factors for a NDD based on the patient information;
- determining whether there is one or more symptoms associated with the NDD based on the patient information;
- analyzing the risk factors and the symptoms to identify that a patient associated with the patient information has a probable risk for developing the NDD;
- and
- providing an indication that the patient has the probable risk of developing the NDD.
A system for automated identification and alerting of neurodegenerative diseases (NDD), the system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions that, when used by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform a method, the method comprising:
- accessing a database comprising electronic medical record data (EMR) data, the EMR data comprising medical information associated with one or more patients;
- identifying, using the EMR data, one or more risk factors for a NDD and/or one or more symptoms of the NDD that are above a threshold risk probability indicative of an enhanced risk for developing the NDD;
- identifying, using the identified risk factors and/or symptoms, one or more patients who are associated with the risk factors and/or the symptoms that are above the threshold risk probability for developing the NDD based on the EMR data;
- and
- providing a notification of the identified one or more patients.
