Data integrity verification and misbehavior detection and reporting of connected vehicles through smart infrastructure

A system comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory storing computer-executable instructions, that when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
• receive, by a smart infrastructure device and from a first vehicle, first information associated with the first vehicle;
• receive an image, video, or real-time feed of an environment of the smart infrastructure device, the environment including the first vehicle;
• determine an inconsistency between the first information received from the first vehicle and the image, video, or real-time feed of the environment;
• and
• flag, based on determining the inconsistency between the first information received from the first vehicle and the image, video, or real-time feed of the environment, the first vehicle as a source of erroneous data.

A non-transitory computer readable medium including computer-executable instructions stored thereon, which when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations of:

• receiving, by a smart infrastructure device and from a first connected device, first information associated with the first connected device;
• receive an image, video, or real-time feed of an environment of the smart infrastructure device, the environment including the first connected device;
• determining an inconsistency between the first information received from the first connected device and the image, video, or real-time feed of the environment;
• and
• flagging, based on determining the inconsistency between the first information received from the first connected device and the image, video, or real-time feed of the environment, the first connected device as a source of erroneous data.
