Infrasound drive for haptic experiences

A system comprising:

• a control circuit configured to transmit a data signal and a power signal over a wiring comprising a data channel and a power channel;
• an active i-drive unit configured to:
• receive the power signal from the power channel and the data signal from the data channel, and
• provide a plurality of amplified data signals over a plurality of channels based upon the data signal, and
• a passive i-drive unit configured to generate a tactile vibration for a seating structure, the passive i-drive unit comprising:
• a tactile transducer configured to:
• receive an amplified data signal among the plurality of amplified data signals from the active i-drive unit;
• and
• generate the tactile vibration based upon the amplified data signal;
• and
• a housing configured to:
• transmit the tactile vibration to a user.

A method, comprising:

• receiving, by a passive i-drive unit, over a channel among a plurality of channels an amplified data signal among a plurality of amplified data signals generated by an amplifier in an active i-drive unit in response to a power signal from a power channel and a data signal from a data channel;
• generating, by the passive i-drive unit, a tactile vibration based upon the amplified data signal;
• and
• transmitting the tactile vibration to a user.
