Abstract
A system and method to identify and track one or more targets of interest. The system may include a plurality of collection systems to capture information related to visual identifiers and/or electronic signatures associated with targets in selected locations. The system may further include an intelligence system to determine a target of interest based on the information related to visual identifiers and/or electronic signatures and to track the target of interest.
Claims18
A surveillance system, comprising:
- one or more collection systems, each comprising one or more sensors configured to capture information related to visual identifiers of a plurality of targets and electronic signals associated with the plurality of targets;
- and
- an intelligence system in communication with the one or more collection systems, the intelligence system configured to:
- receive, from the one or more collection systems, one or more of the information related to visual identifiers or at least one electronic signal captured by the one or more sensors and associated with the plurality of targets,
- catalogue the captured at least one electronic signal associated with one or more identifying characteristics therefor to develop one or more identified electronic signatures,
- identify one or more targets of interest based on a correlation of at least one occurrence of one or more of the information related to visual identifiers with at least one identified electronic signature, and
- track the one or more targets of interest using updated real-time information related to additional captures of one or more visual identifiers of the one or more targets of interest or the one or more identified electronic signatures of the plurality of targets at selected locations by additional ones of the one or more collection systems.
A surveillance system, comprising:
- one or more collection systems, each comprising a series of sensors configured to capture in real-time information related to visual identifiers of a plurality of targets and electronic signatures of the plurality of targets;
- and
- an intelligence system in communication with the one or more collection systems, the intelligence system configured to:
- receive, from the one or more collection systems, the information related to the visual identifiers and the electronic signatures,
- determine an association between one or more of the plurality of targets and the electronic signatures captured by the one or more collection systems, and
- identify a target of interest from the plurality of targets based on the determined association between the target of interest and the electronic signatures.
The surveillance system of claim 13, wherein identifying the target of interest is further based on known information relating to the visual identifiers or electronic signatures determined to be associated with the target of interest.
The surveillance system of claim 14, wherein the known information includes vehicle identifiers comprising one or more of a license plate number, stickers, patterns, position(s) of component parts, after-market added parts, damage, other markings, or combinations thereof.
A method of identifying and tracking targets, comprising:
- capturing, in real-time via a plurality of collection systems, visual identifiers of a plurality of targets and electronic signatures of a plurality of electronic devices;
- identifying at least some of the plurality of targets by one or more of the electronic signatures;
- correlating at least a portion of the visual identifiers and electronic signatures and determining associations between each of the plurality of targets identified by one or more of one or more electronic devices identified with one or more of the captured the visual identifiers and electronic signatures;
- identifying, via an intelligence system, one or more targets of interest based the associations between one or more of the plurality of targets and one or more of the plurality of electronic devices;
- and
- tracking, via the intelligence system, the one or more targets of interest based on real-time updated captures associated with the one or more targets of interest.
