Abstract
A processor of a computing device may receive, from a contactless card, a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram. An operating system (OS) executing on the processor may open an application based on the URL. The application may transmit the cryptogram to an authentication server. The application may receive, based on the server verifying the cryptogram, an account number. The application may store the account number in a memory of the device.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving, by a processor of a computing device from a contactless card, a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram;
- opening, by an operating system (OS) executing on the processor, an application based on the URL;
- transmitting, by the application, the cryptogram to an authentication server;
- receiving, by the application based on the server verifying the cryptogram, an account number;
- and
- storing, by the application, the account number in a memory of the device.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the computer-readable storage medium including instructions that when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
- receive, from a contactless card, a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram;
- open, by an operating system (OS), an application based on the URL;
- transmit, by the application, the cryptogram to an authentication server;
- receive, by the application based on the server verifying the cryptogram, an account number;
- and
- store, by the application, the account number in a memory.
A computing apparatus comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- receive, from a contactless card, a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram;
- open, by an operating system (OS), an application based on the URL;
- transmit, by the application, the cryptogram to an authentication server;
- receive, by the application based on the server verifying the cryptogram, an account number;
- and
- store, by the application, the account number in the memory.
