Systems and methods for simulation of package configurations for generating cost optimized configurations

A computerized system for packaging optimization, comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one non-transitory storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform steps comprising:
• generating a forecast including one or more simulated orders based on historical order data associated with a fulfillment center;
• determining a current packaging configuration associated with the fulfillment center;
• and
• optimizing the current packaging configuration to generate at least one optimized packaging configuration based on the simulated orders.

A computerized implemented method for packaging optimization, the method comprising:

• generating a forecast including one or more simulated orders based on historical order data associated with a fulfillment center;
• determining a current packaging configuration associated with the fulfillment center;
• and
• optimizing the current packaging configuration to generate at least one optimized packaging configuration based on the simulated orders.
