Nand logical-to-physical table region tracking

A method comprising:

• creating, by processing circuitry of a memory device that includes a storage array, a data structure in the storage array after erasing a physical block of the storage array;
• and
• updating, by the processing circuitry, the data structure in the storage array in response to a write to the physical block, the update of the data structure including setting an entry in the data structure corresponding to a logical-to-physical table region used in the write, the logical-to-physical table region being one of multiple logical-to-physical table regions of a logical-to-physical table, the entry unset only when the data structure is created.

A non-transitory machine readable medium including instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry of a memory device, cause the processing circuitry to perform operations comprising:

• creating a data structure in a storage array of the memory device after erasing a physical block of the storage array;
• and
• updating the data structure in the storage array in response to a write to the physical block, the update of the data structure including setting an entry in the data structure corresponding to a logical-to-physical table region used in the write, the logical-to-physical table region being one of multiple logical-to-physical table regions of a logical-to-physical table, the entry unset only when the data structure is created.
