An imaging system, comprising:
- a base platform;
- a camera mounted on the base platform;
- at least one electromechanical component coupled to the base platform, the electromechanical component configured to adjust a position or orientation of the image sensor relative to a sample stage of a bioanalytical instrument to correct for tilt of an image plane of the image sensor relative to a sample of the sample stage.
