Method for producing carbon-based products from secondary raw materials containing ph regulators

A method for fermentatively converting at least one secondary raw material, which is not pretreated using enzymes and contains cellulose and/or hemicellulose, into a carbon-based product, wherein the secondary raw material contains at least one pH regulator, said method comprising the step of bringing the secondary raw material into contact with a microorganism for a time period, at a starting temperature and an initial pH value, thereby producing an amount of lactic acid and/or of a different carbon-based product.
