A machine tool, for machining workpieces (W) using a working tool (36), wherein the machine tool (10) includes a machine base (11) for setting down on a ground surface and a drive assembly (30) arranged thereon with a drive motor (32) and a tool receptacle (31) drivable by the drive motor (32) for the working tool (36), wherein the machine base (11) has a support surface (14, 17) for supporting the workpiece (W) and includes at least one side contact body (40, 41) with a side contact surface (42), which is at an angle to the support surface (14, 17), and extends along a longitudinal axis (L), and wherein the machine tool (10) includes at least one abutment body (70, 170) with an abutment surface (79), which can be fixed opposite the support surface (14, 17) by means of a holding device (60) on the machine tool (10), so that the workpiece (W) for machining by the working tool (36) is supported adjacent to the side contact surface (42) sandwiched between the support surface (14, 17) and the abutment surface (79).
A machine tool, for machining workpieces using a working tool, wherein the machine tool comprises a machine base for setting down on a ground surface and a drive assembly arranged thereon with a drive motor and a tool receptacle drivable by the drive motor for the working tool, wherein the machine base comprises a support surface for supporting the workpiece and comprises at least one side contact body with a side contact surface, which is at an angle to the support surface, and extends along a longitudinal axis, and wherein the machine tool comprises at least one abutment body with an abutment surface, which can be fixed opposite the support surface by means of a holding device on the machine tool, so that the workpiece for machining by the working tool is supported adjacent to the side contact surface between the support surface and the abutment surface, and wherein the abutment body can be releasably fixed on the machine base using the holding device, in at least two different longitudinal positions with respect to the longitudinal axis.
