Abstract
A dust-proof mechanism for chuck includes a fluid supply source, an inner space inside a chuck, and a discharge space in the chuck. A supply fluid is supplied to the inner space from the fluid supply source, and passes through the inner space as a pressurized fluid. Through the discharge space, the pressurized fluid is discharged to the outside of the chuck from the inner space.

A dust-proof mechanism for chuck for preventing the entry of foreign matter into a chuck, the dust-proof mechanism comprising:
- a fluid supply source;
- an inner space that is provided in the chuck and through which a supply fluid supplied from the fluid supply source passes as a pressurized fluid;
- and
- a discharge clearance that is provided in the chuck and through which the pressurized fluid is discharged to outside of the chuck from the inner space.
