Abstract
A nucleic acid probe for hybridization to chromosomal DNA comprises at least two different nucleic acid molecules from the same chromosomal region of CHD1, where the nucleic acid molecules are present in different proportions from each other. A method of treating prostate cancer in a subject is also provided based on an assessment of whether the subject's prostate cancer is associated with CHD1 deficiency.
Claims16
A nucleic acid probe for hybridization to chromosomal DNA, comprising at least two different nucleic acid molecules from the same chromosomal region of CHD1, where said nucleic acid molecules are present in different proportions from each other.
A method of treating prostate cancer in a subject, comprising:
- assessing whether the subject's prostate cancer is associated with CHD1 deficiency based on a nucleic acids sample obtained from the subject;
- and
- if it is determined that the subject's prostate cancer is associated with CHD1 deficiency, administering an effective amount of bleomycin to the subject.
