Abstract
The disclosure provides porous scaffold that include a plurality of microspheres, where the microspheres include a biodegradable polymer blended with a graphene family material (GFM), micro spheres, and methods for making and using such scaffolds and microspheres.
Claims27
A porous scaffold, comprising a plurality of microspheres, wherein the microspheres comprise a polymer blended with a graphene family material (GFM), selected from the group consisting of graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide. functionalized derivatives thereof, or combinations thereof.
The porous scaffold of clam 1 or 2, wherein the plurality of microspheres are joined to form a scaffold, including but not limited to sintered together.
A microsphere, comprising a polymer blended with a GFM selected from the group consisting of graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, functionalized derivatives thereof, or combinations thereof.
Use of the porous scaffold or microsphere of any one of class 1-23 for replacement and/or regeneration of bone tissue, or for any other use disclosed herein.
