Abstract
A terminally modified polycarbonate resin that has ultraviolet absorbing capability is provided. More specifically, the terminally modified polycarbonate resin has a structure represented by general formula (A) and a constituent unit that is derived from a dihydric phenol. (In general formula (A), R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms; R2 represents an alkylene group having 1-6 carbon atoms; R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R4 represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; and * represents the bonding position to the main chain of the polycarbonate resin.)
Claims9
A terminally modified polycarbonate resin comprising a structure represented by General formula (A) and a structural unit derived from a dihydric phenol:
- (in General formula (A) above, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C6 alkyl group, R2 represents a C1-C6 alkylene group, R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R4 represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, and * represents the position of the bond to the main chain of the polycarbonate resin.)
