Abstract
Device for forming a tube, for example a packaging tube, from a sheet (3), said device comprising at least one welding rod (2), means for welding and pressurizing the welded zone (7-9) and means (4-6) for driving the sheet (3) along the rod (2). The device also comprises means (10-12, 14) that reduce the friction between the welding rod (2) and the sheet (3).

A welding device for forming a packaging tube from a sheet, the welding device comprising:
- a welding rod, the sheet wrapped around the welding rod;
- a device for welding and pressurizing ends of the sheet with a welding zone;
- a mechanism for driving the sheet along the welding rod;
- and
- a friction reducing device for reducing a friction between the welding rod and the sheet, the friction-reduction device being in contact with the sheet and moving at a same speed as the sheet relative to the welding rod.
