Abstract
A pre-coated steel substrate wherein the coating including at least one titanate and at least one nanoparticle; a method for the manufacture of an assembly; a method for the manufacture of a coated steel substrate and a coated substrate substrate. It is particularly well suited for construction, shipbuilding and offshore industries.

A pre-coated steel substrate comprising:
- a steel substrate;
- and
- a pre-coating coating the steel substrate and including at least one titanate and at least one nanoparticle.
A method for manufacture of an assembly comprising the following successive steps:
- providing at least two metallic substrates wherein a first of the at least two metallic substrates is a pre-coated steel coated with a flux comprising at least one titanate and at least one nanoparticle;
- and
- welding of the at least two metallic substrates by SAW welding.
