Abstract
Disclosed herein are compositions comprising silver nanoparticles with uniform particles and a narrow particle size distribution. Also disclosed herein are processes for preparing and purifying the dispersions of silver nanoparticles.
Claims20
A composition, comprising:
- a dispersion of silver nanoparticles;
- and
- wherein each nanoparticle of the silver nanoparticles has a diameter of between 5-20 nm.
A nanoparticle composition, comprising:
- a population of silver nanoparticles and at least one dispersion medium;
- and
- wherein at least 98% of the nanoparticles have a diameter of less than 20 nm.
A method of preparing a composition comprising a dispersion of silver nanoparticles, comprising:
- contacting silver nitrate with a benzene triol at between 20-30 degrees Celsius in the presence of a solvent to form a mixture.
