Abstract
A liquid electrophotographic ink composition is described. The liquid electrophotographic ink composition comprises a ceramic pigment, a polymer resin, a glass frit, and a liquid carrier. Also described is a heat transferable printed image, a process for printing a heat transferable image and a process for heat transfer printing using the liquid electrophotographic ink composition.
Claims15
A liquid electrophotographic ink composition, comprising:
- a ceramic pigment;
- a polymer resin;
- a glass frit;
- and
- a liquid carrier.
A heat transferable printed image, comprising:
- a transfer material;
- and
- an electrophotographic ink composition disposed on the transfer material;
- wherein the electrophotographic ink composition comprises:
- a ceramic pigment;
- a polymer resin;
- and
- a glass frit.
A process for heat transfer printing, the process comprising:
- electrophotographically printing a liquid electrophotographic ink composition onto a transfer material to form an image layer disposed on the transfer material, wherein the liquid electrophotographic ink composition comprises a ceramic pigment;
- polymer resin;
- a glass frit;
- and a liquid carrier, to form an image layer disposed on the transfer material;
- contacting the image layer with a substrate under conditions such that the image layer transfers from the transfer material to the substrate;
- and
- heating the substrate and the image layer to a temperature of at least 600° C.
