- providing a writing instrument comprising:
- a body,
- one or more ink cartridges in fluid communication with one or more nibs, the one or more ink cartridges encased in the body. and
- a mechanical pencil encased in the body,
- selecting an ink cartridge of the one or more ink cartridges;
- and
- switching from the ink cartridge to the mechanical pencil.
