Abstract
A random access method includes: sending a random access message to a network device; receiving an RAR message from the network device, wherein the RAR message includes indication information, and the indication information indicates a format type of the RAR message; and performing a corresponding random access operation based on the indication information.

A random access method applied to a terminal, comprising:
- sending a random access message to a network device;
- receiving a random access response (RAR) message from the network device, wherein the RAR message comprises indication information, and the indication information indicates a format type of the RAR message;
- and
- performing a corresponding random access operation based on the indication information.
A random access response method applied to a network device, comprising:
- receiving a random access message from a terminal;
- sending a random access response (RAR) message to the terminal, wherein
- the RAR message comprises indication information, and the indication information indicates a format type of the RAR message.
A terminal, comprising a memory, a processor, and a computer program that is stored on the memory and executable on the processor, wherein the computer program, when executed by the processor, causes the terminal to perform:
- sending a random access message to a network device;
- receiving a random access response (RAR) message from the network device, wherein the RAR message comprises indication information, and the indication information indicates a format type of the RAR message;
- and
- performing a corresponding random access operation based on the indication information.
