Abstract
Provided are methods and systems for, in some aspects, mitigating interference over a communication channel. In an aspect, a device can be configured to detect interference and to dynamically reconfigure to avoid interference. Such a device can be configured to receive content over various communication channels and can intelligently select a communication channel to avoid interference.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving content from a first provider via a first channel outside a band gap;
- determining, based on a signal detected in the band gap, interference on the first channel;
- determining the received content;
- determining that the content is available on a second channel outside the band gap;
- and
- receiving the content via the second channel.
A system comprising:
- a computing device configured to:
- receive content from a first provider via a first channel outside a band gap;
- determine, based on a signal detected in the band gap, interference on the first channel;
- determine the received content;
- determine that the content is available on a second channel outside the band gap;
- receive the content via the second channel;
- and
- a content source configured to:
- send the content via the second channel.
One or more computer-readable media storing processor-executable instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
- receive content from a first provider via a first channel outside a band gap;
- determine, based on a signal detected in the band gap, interference on the first channel;
- determine the received content;
- determine that the content is available on a second channel outside the band gap;
- and
- receive the content via the second channel.
