Abstract
There is disclosed a method of operating an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node in a radio access network, the IAB node being connected to a first parent IAB node via a first backhaul link, the method including communicating with one or more child nodes based on a downlink timing, the downlink timing being based on a function of one or more values of a first timing parameter, the values of the first timing parameter being indicated by corresponding first timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node and/or one or more values of a second timing parameter, the values of the second timing parameter being indicated by corresponding second timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node. The disclosure also pertains to related methods and devices.
Claims21
A method of operating an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node in a wireless communication network, the IAB node being connected to a first parent IAB node via a first backhaul link, the method comprising:
- communicating with one or more child nodes based on a downlink timing, the downlink timing being based on a function of one or more values of a first timing parameter, the values of the first timing parameter being indicated by at least one of corresponding first timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node and one or more values of a second timing parameter, the values of the second timing parameter being indicated by corresponding second timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node.
An Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node for a wireless communication network, the IAB node configured to:
- be one of connected and connectable to a first parent IAB node via a first backhaul link, the IAB node being configured to communicate with one or more child nodes based on a downlink timing, the downlink timing being based on a function of one or more values of a first timing parameter, the values of the first timing parameter being indicated by at least one of corresponding first timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node and one or more values of a second timing parameter, the values of the second timing parameter being indicated by corresponding second timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node.
A method of operating a parent Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node, the method comprising:
- transmitting at least one of a first timing indicator and a second timing indicator to a child IAB node via a first backhaul link, the first timing indicator representing a first timing parameter, at least one of the first timing indicator being based on one or more previous values of the first timing parameter and the second timing indicator representing a second timing parameter, the second timing indicator being based on one or more previous values of the second timing parameter.
A Parent Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node for a wireless communication network, the parent IAB node configured to:
- transmit at least one of a first timing indicator and a second timing indicator to a child IAB node via a first backhaul link, the first timing indicator representing a first timing parameter, at least one of the first timing indicator being based on one or more previous values of the first timing parameter and the second timing indicator representing a second timing parameter, the second timing indicator being based on one or more previous values of the second timing parameter.
A computer storage medium storing computer instructions that when executed cause processing circuitry to at least one of control and perform a method of operating an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node in a wireless communication network, the IAB node being connected to a first parent IAB node via a first backhaul link, the method comprising:
- communicating with one or more child nodes based on a downlink timing, the downlink timing being based on a function of one or more values of a first timing parameter, the values of the first timing parameter being indicated by at least one of corresponding first timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node and one or more values of a second timing parameter, the values of the second timing parameter being indicated by corresponding second timing indicators received from the first parent IAB node.
