Abstract
A radio link monitoring method in a sidelink, applicable to a terminal equipment. The method includes: reporting by a physical layer to a higher layer a state of at least one sidelink and sidelink information to which the state corresponds, and performing by the higher layer operations related to radio link monitoring or a radio link failure according to the sidelink information.

A radio link monitoring apparatus in a sidelink, configured in a terminal equipment, the apparatus comprising:
- a reporting unit configured to report, in a MAC layer to a RRC layer, a state of at least one sidelink and sidelink information to which the state corresponds;
- and
- a processing unit configured to perform in the RCC layer, operations related to radio link monitoring or a radio link failure according to the sidelink information.
A configuration apparatus for a counter and a timer, configured in a network device, the apparatus comprising:
- a transmitter configured to transmit configuration information to a terminal equipment via dedicated signaling or system information, the configuration information comprising values of a counter and/or a timer related to radio link monitoring related to a sidelink.
A communication system, comprising:
- a terminal equipment, and a network device,
- the terminal equipment comprising:
- a reporting unit configured to report, in a MAC layer to a RRC layer, a state of at least one sidelink and sidelink information to which the state corresponds;
- and
- processor circuitry configured to perform in the RCC layer, operations related to radio link monitoring or a radio link failure according to the sidelink information, and/or
- the network device including a configuration apparatus for a counter and a timer, the apparatus comprising:
- a transmitter configured to transmit configuration information to the terminal equipment via dedicated signaling or system information, the configuration information comprising values of a counter and/or a timer related to radio link monitoring related to a sidelink.
