Abstract
An approach is described for a method for a radio access node (RAN) node in a fifth generation (5G) wireless communication or a new radio (NR) system that includes the following steps. The method includes generating a request for location information of a user equipment (UE). The method further includes transmitting the request to an access and mobility function (AMF). The method further includes receiving a response from the AMF, wherein the response comprises the location information of the UE.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- generating a request for location information of a user equipment (UE);
- transmitting the request to an access and mobility function (AMF);
- and
- receiving a response from the AMF, wherein the response comprises the location information of the UE.
A radio access network (RAN) node comprising:
- radio front end circuitry;
- and
- processor circuitry coupled to the radio front end circuitry, which are configured to:
- generate a request for location information of a user equipment (UE);
- transmit the request to an access and mobility function (AMF);
- and
- receive a response from the AMF, wherein the response comprises the location information of the UE.
A non-transitory computer-readable media comprising instructions to cause an electronic device, upon execution of the instructions by one or more processors of the electronic device, to perform one of more elements of a method, the method comprising:
- generating a request for location information of a user equipment (UE);
- causing to transmit the request to an access and mobility function (AMF);
- and
- causing to receive a response from the AMF, wherein the response comprises the location information of the UE.
