Abstract
There is provided a communication system in which a base station apparatus communicates with a terminal apparatus and a communication apparatus flexibly designed to address diverse use cases so as to significantly enhance the transmission efficiency of the system as a whole. The communication apparatus includes an acquisition section that acquires information from an apparatus in wireless communication, and a control section that selects either orthogonal multiple access communication or non-orthogonal multiple access communication for communication with the apparatus on the basis of the information acquired by the acquisition section.
Claims17
A communication apparatus, comprising:
- circuitry configured to:
- acquire first information from a base station via wireless communication;
- and
- select one of orthogonal multiple access (OMA) communication or non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication for communication with the base station, based on the acquired first information, wherein
- the OMA communication is a third step of a 4-step RACH procedure in which the communication apparatus transmits data required for initialization to the base station,
- the data is transmitted using resources granted in a second step of the 4-step RACH procedure, and
- the NOMA communication is a first step of a 2-step RACH procedure in which the communication apparatus transmits each of a preamble and the data required for the initialization to the base station.
A communication method, comprising:
- acquiring first information from a base station via wireless communication;
- and
- selecting one of orthogonal multiple access (OMA) communication or non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication for communication with the base station, based on the acquired first information, wherein
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon, computer-executable instructions which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to execute operations, the operations comprising:
- acquiring first information from a base station via wireless communication;
- and
- selecting one of orthogonal multiple access (OMA) communication or non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication for communication with the base station, based on the acquired first information, wherein
- the OMA communication is a third step of a 4-step RACH procedure in which a communication apparatus transmits data required for initialization to the base station,
- the data is transmitted using resources granted in a second step of the 4-step RACH procedure, and
- the NOMA communication is a first step of a 2-step RACH procedure in which the communication apparatus transmits each of a preamble and the data required for the initialization to the base station.
