Feature processing for machine learning

A system for feature processing, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• a computer readable storage medium coupled to at least one of the processors;
• and
• computer code stored on the computer readable storage medium, with the computer code including instructions for causing at least one of the processors to perform operations including the following:
• projecting two input features selected from multiple features of each sample in a sample set to one resulting feature based on a specified curve,
• updating the sample set by replacing the two input features with the one resulting feature for each sample in the sample set, and
• repeating the projecting and the updating for the sample set until the number of features of each sample in the sample set reaches a predetermined criterion.

A computer program product for feature processing, the computer program product comprising:

• a computer readable storage medium;
• and
• computer code stored on the computer readable storage medium, with the computer code including instructions for causing one or more processors to perform operations including the following:
• project two input features selected from multiple features of each sample in a sample set to one resulting feature based on a specified curve,
• update the sample set by replacing the two input features with the one resulting feature for each sample in the sample set, and
• repeat the projecting and the updating for the sample set until the number of features of each sample in the sample set reaches a predetermined criterion.
