Graphic capture in a mobile loyalty network

A system comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
• responsive to a receipt, from a first mobile device, of first data associated with a first machine readable optically formatted image associated with a first electronic gaming machine at a first property:
• determine if the first data corresponds to second data communicated from a first local server associated with the first property, and
• responsive to the determination being that first data corresponds to the second data, cause an authentication of a first loyalty program account associated with the first mobile device at the first electronic gaming machine, and
• responsive to a receipt, from a second mobile device, of third data associated with a second machine readable optically formatted image associated with a second, different electronic gaming machine at a second, different property:
• determine if the third data corresponds to fourth data communicated from a second, different local server associated with the second, different property, and
• responsive to the determination being that third data corresponds to the fourth data, cause an authentication of a second loyalty program account associated with the second mobile device at the second, different electronic gaming machine.
