Systems and methods for image processing

A method implemented on at least one machine each of which has at least one processor and at least one storage device, the method comprising:

• obtaining a target image of a target object;
• determining a morphological characteristic value of a target region in the target image, the target region of the target image corresponding to a sub-region of an organ or tissue of the target object;
• determining, based on percentile values of morphological characteristic values of sample regions in a plurality of sample images of a plurality of sample objects, a target percentile value of the morphological characteristic value corresponding to the target object among morphological characteristic values corresponding to a first portion of the plurality of sample objects, wherein the first portion of the plurality of sample objects are of substantially same or similar age as the target object, and the sample regions correspond to the sub-region of the organ or tissue.

A non-transitory computer readable medium, comprising at least one set of instructions, wherein when executed by at least one processor of a computing device, the at least one set of instructions cause the at least one processor to effectuate a method comprising:

• obtaining a target image of a target object;
• determining a morphological characteristic value of a target region in the target image, the target region of the target image corresponding to a sub-region of an organ or tissue of the target object;
• determining, based on percentile values of morphological characteristic values of sample regions in a plurality of sample images of a plurality of sample objects, a target percentile value of the morphological characteristic value corresponding to the target object among morphological characteristic values corresponding to a first portion of the plurality of sample objects for assessing a condition of the organ or tissue of the target object, wherein the first portion of the plurality of sample objects are of substantially same or similar age as the target object, and the sample regions correspond to the sub-region of the organ or tissue.
