Secure wireless audio and speech at a transaction terminal

A method, comprising:

• identifying, by a server, a user that is conducting a transaction at a transaction terminal;
• verifying, by the server, that the user is logged into to an account associated with the transaction terminal via a mobile application of a mobile device operated by the user;
• receiving, by the server, options associated with a transaction interface of the transaction terminal for the transaction;
• and
• sending, by the server, audio data corresponding to the options to the mobile application to play over a speaker of the mobile device to the user during the transaction as speech instructions for the user to select the options.

A system, comprising:

• a server comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium;
• the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprises executable instructions;
• the executable instructions executed by the processor from the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium causing the processor to perform operations, comprising:
• determining that a user is both logged into an account of the user through a mobile application that executes on a mobile device of the user and determining that the user is engaged in a transaction at a transaction terminal;
• obtaining transaction options for a transaction interface of the transaction terminal;
• mapping the transaction options to speech options;
• sending the speech options to the mobile application to play over a speaker of the mobile device to the user for a speech selection made by the user and captured by a microphone of the mobile device during the transaction at the transaction terminal;
• receiving the speech selection from the mobile application;
• translating the speech selection into text representing a particular one of the transaction options;
• and
• instructing the transaction interface to process the particular one of the transaction options as input data received from the user during the transaction at the transaction terminal.
