Abstract
A memory system includes a nonvolatile memory and a controller that controls the nonvolatile memory. The controller is configured to generate information relating to encryption and decryption of data based on a location of the memory system and to enable at least one process of encrypting data to be written to the nonvolatile memory or decrypting data read from the nonvolatile memory by using the information.
Claims20
A memory system comprising:
- a nonvolatile memory;
- and
- a controller configured to control the nonvolatile memory, wherein
- the controller is configured to:
- generate information relating to encryption and decryption of data based on a location of the memory system, and
- enable at least one process of encrypting data to be written to the nonvolatile memory or decrypting data read from the nonvolatile memory by using the information.
A method of controlling access to a memory system including a nonvolatile memory and a controller configured to control reading data from the nonvolatile memory, comprising:
- determining a location of the memory system;
- and
- in the controller, generating information relating to decryption of data based on the location of the memory system, and
- decrypting data read from the nonvolatile memory using the information.
A mobile computing device comprising:
- a host device;
- and
- a memory system including a nonvolatile memory and a controller configured to control writing data to and reading data from the nonvolatile memory, wherein the controller is configured to:
- generate a key relating to encryption and decryption of data based on a location of the memory system, and
- enable at least one process of encrypting data to be written to the nonvolatile memory or decrypting data read from the nonvolatile memory by using the key.
