Abstract
Provided is a heat pump system including a compressor for compressing a refrigerant the heat pump system including: an input interface configured to receive an input of an authentication code; a display configured to display the authentication code input through the input interface; and a controller to control an operation of the heat pump system according to whether a control program to control the operation is to be activated based on the authentication code input through the input interface.

A heat pump system including a compressor for compressing a refrigerant, the heat pump system comprising:
- an input interface configured to receive an input of an authentication code;
- a display configured to display the authentication code input through the input interface;
- and
- a controller in which a control program for controlling an operation of the heat pump system is installed,
- wherein the controller is configured to identify whether to activate the control program based on the authentication code input through the input interface.
A method of authenticating an installation of a heat pump system, comprising:
- receiving type information of the heat pump system and installation environment information of the heat pump system from a user terminal;
- searching for an installation condition of the heat pump system based on the received type information;
- and
- transmitting an installation authentication code of the heat pump system to the user terminal, based on whether the received installation environment information satisfies an installation environment condition of the heat pump system.
