Abstract
The invention disclosed generally relates to a heat exchange system comprising an outer tube, an inner tube generally located within the outer tube and comprising a longitudinal axis running along the length of the inner tube, and a fixed elongate member located within the inner tube and comprising a longitudinal axis running along the length of the elongate member. The inner tube is mounted on a rotational drive system to rotate the inner tube about its longitudinal axis. The system further includes at least one inlet and at least one outlet. One or more projecting members project from an outer surface of the elongate member, an outer surface of the inner tube or an inner surface of the outer tube.
Claims16
A heat exchange system comprising:
- an outer tube,
- an inner tube generally located within the outer tube and comprising a longitudinal axis running along the length of the inner tube,
- a fixed elongate member located within the inner tube and comprising a longitudinal axis running along the length of the elongate member;
- wherein the inner tube is mounted on a rotational drive system to rotate the inner tube about its longitudinal axis;
- wherein the system further includes at least one inlet and at least one outlet;
- and
- wherein one or more projecting members project from an outer surface of the elongate member, an outer surface of the inner tube or an inner surface of the outer tube.
A heat exchange system for use in the production of crude oil from a raw feedstock sludge comprising organic material, the system comprising:
- an outer tube comprising an inner surface and an outer surface and a longitudinal axis running along the length of the outer tube;
- a rotatable inner tube concentrically and coaxially located within the outer tube, the inner tube comprising an inner surface and an outer surface;
- a stirring arm concentrically and coaxially located within the inner tube;
- wherein the inner tube is rotated about the longitudinal axis by a rotational drive system;
- wherein the system further includes at least one inlet and at least one outlet;
- wherein the stirring arm comprises one or more projecting members extending along a length of the stirring arm;
- and
- wherein the outer surface of the inner tube, or the inner surface of the outer tube, comprises at least one projecting member extending along a length of the respective inner or outer tube.
