Abstract
Monoclonal antibodies that bind, such as specifically bind, blood protein factor XII (FXII) are described. The monoclonal antibodies (including antigen-binding fragments thereof) are capable of forming immune complexes with human FXII and inhibiting FXII activity, resulting in safe anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombotic effects.
Claims34
A monoclonal antibody that binds blood protein factor XII (FXII), or an antigen-binding fragment thereof, comprising a variable heavy (VH) domain and a variable light (VL) domain, wherein:
- the VH domain comprises the complementarity determining region 1 (CDR1), CDR2 and CDR3 sequences of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- and
- the VL domain comprises the CDR1, CDR2 and CDR3 sequences of SEQ ID NO:
- 4.
